It was my first time that I had such a close connection with the sports meeting.
这是我第一次和运动会产生如此亲密的联系。
I am not good at sports. In high school, I have participated in the school sports and arts festival only once. Activities like this would effect a whole class’s assessment. I knew that if I joined in the game on behalf of my class, I would held my class’s back. So I chose to escape these activities. But I didn’t understand I have missed so much fun of sports meeting until I was forced by the head teacher to participate in the 4×100 relay race.
我不擅长运动，高中时我只参加过一次学校的体育艺术节。像这样的活动都会影响到整个班级的评估，我知道如果我代表我的班级去参加比赛一定会拖后腿的。所以我总是逃避这些活动。但是直到我被班主任逼着去参加了4×100接力跑，我才明白了我失去了很多有关运动会的乐趣。
My friends praised me after I finished the run as if I had contributed a lot to the victory of the race, even though we didn’t win in the end. In a word, she wanted to praise me for running so fast. I knew exactly that she was encouraging me to try something different except study. And I definitely felt that thrill of running wildly on the field.
我的朋友在我完成比赛之后夸我为这场比赛的胜利做出了很大贡献，即使最终我们没赢。总之，她想夸我跑得非常快。我当然知道她是在鼓励我去尝试除了学习以外的不同的东西。我也确实感受到了在赛场上狂奔的快感。
That was in 2018. And in 2020, this year, actually just a few days ago, I participated in the sports meeting again in another capacity.
那是2018年的事情了。在2020年，也就是今年，更准确地说是几天前，我以另一种身份参与到了这次运动会中。
This time, I was an amateur photographer.
这一次，我是一个业余摄影师。
During the shooting, I saw a lot that I had never carefully seen before. I saw a large number of athletes trying their best to compete and to win the competition. I saw high jumpers breaking new heights again and again. I saw so many students accompanying the long-distance runners till they ran through the destination. They encouraged them to persist when those runners were about to give up in the whole journey--I called the race a journey, because it was not only a race but also a grow-up journey both in mind and body.
在拍摄期间，我看到了许多我以前从未仔细看过的东西。我看到了许多人尽最大努力去比赛，去赢得比赛；我看到了跳高选手们一次又一次突破新高度。我看到了如此多的同学陪跑长跑运动员直到他们到达终点。整个旅程里，当运动员们快要坚持不下去时，他们鼓励着他们继续坚持下去。我称之为旅程是因为，这不仅是一场比赛，而且还是一场精神和身体上的成长旅程。
And I was happy for them when they won, I encouraged them from my heart when they lost. This was what I have gotten from the sports meeting.
我为他们胜利而高兴，当他们失败时，我也从心里鼓励他们。这就是我从这次运动会中得到的东西。
When you are competing on the field, you only focus on the destination and rush to the destination with all your strength. You could forget all the sorrow and anxiety and just enjoy the competition.
当你在赛场上时，你只专注于重点，你使出全身力气冲向终点。你会忘记所有的难过和焦虑，只去享受这场比赛。
If you find yourself under great pressure, then go and do sports. Let your pressure go!
如果你发现你压力很大的话，去运动吧。释放你的压力！
