The Voice of CCNU On the morning of May 8th, 2024, the 10th session of the counselor salon was held in the M323 conference room of Building 6. The salon was organized by the Student Work Department of the Party Committee and hosted by the School of Mathematics and Statistics. Zhu Xin, a 2003 alumnus of the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Central China Normal University and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Chemistry at Central China Agricultural University, shared the main challenges and practical paths for current university counselors to carry out online education. Li Xianling, Deputy Director of the Student Work Department of the Party Committee, Chen Juan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Economics and Business Administration, Liang Fangyong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of History and Culture, Chen Xiaogang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Music, Yang Kejun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Deng Fei and Li Na, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Education, Xiao Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Public Administration, Zhang Dehua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Sports, and more than 20 representatives of the research institute and counselor attended the meeting. The salon is hosted by Yang Kejun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mathematics and Statistics.

Zhu Xin pointed out that online ideological and political work is not a simple replacement and development of traditional ideological and political education in terms of educational forms and means, but a comprehensive innovation and transformation in concepts, content, means, and mechanisms. She has described the challenges faced by the current online ideological and political education, the problems faced by counselors in carrying out online ideological and political education, and the network characteristics of college students. By sharing the "Xinba Classmate" series of network platform cases, she suggested that in the Internet era, counselors should pay attention to "not limited to one domain, not limited to one time, not alone" in carrying out online education, and strive to carry out implicit, pictorial, and systematic "three modernizations" theory publicity and education, encourage counselors to carry out experiential, subjective, and hidden online ideological and political education, and further improve the effectiveness of education.

Li Xianling gave a concluding speech. She first expressed her gratitude to Zhu Xin for being invited to share the theme, pointing out that online ideological and political education should be fully close to students, and hoped that counselors could explore better content creation in a way that students would like to see more, and do a good job of ideological guidance and value conservation with high-quality educational content, so that the Internet could become a new platform for ideological and political education and maximize the gathering of educational resources.

The attendees exchanged examples of counselors conducting online education and ideological work in universities. This salon aims to improve the online education ability of counselors, strengthen the level of practice and theory, do a solid job in ideological and political work in the Internet era, and further empower counselors to grow and develop.
