The Voice of CCNU On the afternoon of April 19, the training activity of CCNU 2024 Resume Making Competition, sponsored by the Employment Office of the Party Committee and Student Work Department of CCNU and organized by the School of Information Management of CCNU, was held in the Lecture Hall on the first floor of the South Lake Complex Building. The training was conducted by Tencent school recruiting HR Jiang Yichen for students to carry out resume making counseling, the Employment Office of the Employment Department Employment Guidance Office teacher Lu Wen was present, nearly 300 students from various training units participated in this training, the activity was presided over by the counselor of the School of Information Management Jiang Keming.

This session of resume making training began with job search preparation. In this session, Jiang Yichen started from the tools related to personality test and explained the importance of self-knowledge in the job-seeking process in depth. In terms of external job search preparation, Mr. Jiang explained in detail the four dimensions of industry selection, company selection, job selection and city selection. When talking about industry selection, he suggested that students could deepen their understanding of a certain industry by studying industry research reports, reading industry overview books and getting to know the head enterprises in the industry, etc., and then choose suitable companies according to the industry knowledge. As for the selection of their target industry, Jiang Yichen advises students to choose an industry that is in the growth or maturity stage based on their professional background and interests, in order to realize better career development.

During the resume coaching, Jiang Yichen summarized the eight mottos of resume making for the students through the video: clear intention and exquisite content. He emphasized that an excellent resume should first have a clear positioning, and write your job-seeking intention clearly in the beginning of the resume, which is like a compass to lead the whole resume. Resume information should be streamlined and simplified, highlighting key information to show one's core competitiveness; one should also learn to speak with data, which requires us to consciously record and refine work results in our daily work. Finally, Jiang Yichen reminded students that it is best to control the length of the resume within one page, and the layout should be simple and clear, avoiding too fancy design.

In order to help students solve the problems in resume making in a more targeted way, this training set up a question and answer session. Students actively raised their hands to ask about how to choose the right position, how to overcome the resistance encountered in the first search for internships and other doubts, and Mr. Jiang Yichen also answered the questions raised by the students according to his own experience and put forward his own suggestions.

Through the training activity of this resume making competition, students have a deeper knowledge and understanding of the importance of resume making, and at the same time, they also have a clearer direction for their career planning. It is hoped that the students can practically apply the knowledge and skills learned in this activity to the actual job-seeking process, constantly improve their resumes, enhance the competitiveness of job-seeking, and achieve even better results and development in their future career path.
