In order to celebrate the International Mathematics Day on March 14th, the School of Mathematics and Statistics of grade 2019 held the celebration of the International Mathematics Day on March 14th and the exhibition of class elegant demeanor in the Student Activity Center at 7:00 p.m. on March 14th. Wang Zhong, secretary of the Party Committee, Zhou Yuanyang, president of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Tian Jun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, Dong Yueping, head teacher of Class 1901, Zhang Zhengjie, head teacher of Class 1903, Chang Hao, head teacher of Class 1905, Wang Yan, head teacher of Class 1907, Zhao Yue, head teacher of Class 1908, counselors of all grades and students of Grade 2019 participated in the activity.
In accordance with the requirements of epidemic prevention, the staff took the temperature of all participants. The participants were also required to wear surgical masks throughout the activity. After the passionate opening dance, the activity officially began. At first, President Zhou Yuanyang delivered a speech for the activity. He said that it was meaningful to hold the activity on the second International Mathematics Day. At the same time, he put forward three hopes for everyone: firstly, he hoped that the students would strengthen the confidence in their specialty; secondly, he hoped that the students would realize the charm of mathematics in the learning of their specialty; thirdly, he hoped that the students would undertake the historical mission and establish the dream of empowering the country with mathematics together.
Then each class took turns to perform on the stage. The Dream Back of Class 1901 told about their indissoluble affinity with mathematics in different periods with vivid and interesting scenes. Class 1908 payed their respects to the Mathematics Festival with dance and song The Brightest Star in the Night Sky. Those great mathematicians were the brightest stars in everyone's heart. The Pursuit of Class 1905 endowed the beauty of the second dimension with the third dimension and wished that the students of the School of Mathematics and Statistics would be the brightest star in the sky in the process of looking up at the starry sky and firmly pursuing.
The Birth of Probability Theory of Class 1911 let us know how the probability theory was born. The Recalling Childhood, Being Young of Class 1910 and Class 1912 showed the youth and elegant with dancing and singing. The Original Dream and the GG Bond of Class 1902 told us that we would encounter difficulties on the road of learning mathematics, but as long as we had the dream in our hearts and were down-to-earth, we would be able to reach the other shore of mathematics one day.
The second half of the activity began with the amazing performance of the dance team of the School of Mathematics and Statistics. The Party of Team π of Class 1906 showed the vigorous vitality of the students in the School of Mathematics and Statistics through a series of small programs. The Love Story of Mathematics of Class 1904 reminded us to pay attention to the study of basic mathematics; The Shadow of Light and the Paradise of Green Apple of Class 1907 seriously explained the responsibility of the contemporary mathematics normal students and called for students to regulate their behaviors as normal students as well as making better contribution to the future education.
The Romance of Three "Fruits" of Class 1909 told us that we should learn to arrange time reasonably and develop in a balanced way, so that college life could become the lifetime wealth. The Take off Happily of Class 1903 not only showed the talents of the students in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, but also demonstrated the vigorous vitality of the students in the School of Mathematics and Statistics. At last, the show of ethnic dance brought by the studio of ethnic minority and the instrument ensemble showed the versatility of the students in the School of Mathematics and Statistics. With the brisk dance steps, graceful dance and wonderful melody, the activity came to a satisfactory conclusion.
As a part of the series of activities of the School of Mathematics and Statistics to celebrate the International Mathematics Day, the activity fully showed the elegant demeanor of the students in the School of Mathematics and Statistics.
