In the morning of March 5, the activity of “Celebration March 8, Colorful Shows and DIY” was successfully held in the Meeting room 10127, Nanhu Complex Building by the College of Economics & Business Management. More than 30 on-the-job and retired faculty members, including Li Wenyi, chairman of the labor union; Yan Lili, organizer of the department level; Chen Juan, deputy secretary of the Party committee; Chen Shuyun, vice president; teacher Wang Juan, Wu Yan, Bai Yun, members of the labor union; teacher Ye Hua, Wang Lan and teacher Peng Hong, participated in the activity.
The activity was divided into two parts. In the first part, teachers made dream catchers, which meant sweet dreams. The staff firstly handed out materials such as iron rings, tapes and feathers. Then after the professional florists introduced the process and skills to all, teachers actively involved in making dream catchers with fully enthusiasm, and the atmosphere was cozy and warm.

After learning the process of making dream catchers, they then started to make immortal flower glass cover gift boxes. The staff firstly distributed materials including pretty immortal flowers, glass covers, flower clay, glue and so on. And then they explained the detailed steps of making the gift boxes. In the following practice, teachers were enthusiastic, actively discussed, helped mutually, and made the preliminary gift box shapes. Through continuous adjustment, the layouts of flowers and raw materials in the gift boxes were more reasonable and more aesthetic on the whole. Finally, a string of small light bulbs were inserted and covered with glass covers, and beautiful gift boxes were coming out one after another.
