At 9:00 a.m. on March 3, Zhao Lingyun, secretary of the party committee of CCNU, and his delegation visited the School of Education to inspect the work for the spring semester of 2021. After the inspection, companied by the principals of the Propaganda Department, the Policy and Regulation Seminar Room of CCNU, the Graduate School, the Logistics Support Department and other functional departments, all members of the Party and administration in the school attended a meeting which was presided over by Wang Changhua, minister of the Propaganda Department of the University.
During the conference, Lei Wanpeng, president and vice secretary of the party committee delivered the work report on behalf of his team. To begin with, he introduced conditions about the work in the winter vacation and the preparation work for the new semester surrounding topics of the teaching implementation, the back of teachers and students, the laboratory safety, the epidemic prevention and control during the winter vacation. Additionally, he focused on the key work and the outstanding achievements of the school on the specialty construction and the disciplinary development in 2020. Then he introduced the plans for future key tasks of the school on three dimensions: the leading in teacher education, open development and the construction of teaching staff.
At the meeting, Li Ling, secretary of the party committee, focused on the “last kilometer” of the Party construction, strengthening the grassroots branch construction as the carrier and giving full play to the role of the branch as a battle fortress, and comprehensively introduced the characteristics and highlights of the grassroots branch construction of the school. Subsequently, she briefly introduced the projects to integrate the School of Education and the School of Early Education and to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Wang Yanan's birth.
At the meeting, Zhao Lingyun, secretary of the party committee, delivered a summary speech. First of all, he pointed out a variety of highlights like the specialty construction, the exploring of new growth points for scientific research, the social cooperation, the consulting services, the work of Party building and so on. He then expressed his hope that, in the coming year, all members of the Party and administration should guide the "bull" to carry out their work. First, they should learn to “climb high and look far”, having a new position and a new plan to the future development of the school in the opening year of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the 120th anniversary of the founding of CCNU. Second, it was significant to seize the opportunity to build the integrated education specialty, regarding integrated education as a new growth point for discipline construction, professional development and moral education and making great efforts to build it well. Third, it was necessary to earnestly carry out education in the history of the Party. With the century-old educational practice of the Communist Party of China as the breakthrough point, the education activities should pay attention to the advantages of “red” resources and should focus on strengthening the educational confidence and responsibility. Fourth, he advised that the members of the Party and administration were supposed to further implement the spirits of the party congress of the university and ensure the implementation of measures.
