In order to further implement the spirit in General Secretary Xi Jinping's important letter of reply to the "Benyu volunteer service team" of Huazhong Agricultural University, vigorously promote the volunteer spirit and guide the youth to devote themselves to the volunteer service, the Provincial Party Committee launched the provincial creation activity of "Benyu volunteer service team" of 2020. On December 18 in 2020, after the team application, the recommendation of school and the provincial examination, the Youth Volunteer Association of the School of Foreign Languages of CCNU was awarded the honorary title of "Benyu volunteer service team" of Hubei Province of 2020.
On March 5, the awarding ceremony for "Benyu volunteer service team" of Hubei Province of 2020 was held in Hubei Youth Vocational College (Communist Youth League School of Hubei Province) on the 58th "Learning From Lei Feng Day" and the 22nd "China Youth Volunteer Service Day". The Youth Volunteer Association of the School of Foreign Languages of CCNU was invited to participate in the awarding ceremony.
Since the Youth Volunteer Association of the School of Foreign Languages of CCNU has been on the team building list of "Benyu volunteer service team" of Hubei Province on July 23, 2020, the Youth Volunteer Association of the School of Foreign Languages of CCNU insisted on carrying out volunteer activities actively under the key requirement of "Benyu spirit", constantly strengthening team building as well as attaching great importance to the position construction of the volunteer service and the improvement of the volunteer system at the same time. During the cultivation period, the Youth Volunteer Association of the School of Foreign Languages of CCNU made full use of the unique advantages of the specialty of foreign languages and carried out a series of excellent volunteer activities, such as "the learning guidance of CET-4 and CET-6 from Chenguang service team", "the classroom of little Y", "4:30 school" and "the classroom of warm sunshine", so as to popularize the knowledge of foreign languages and the relevant cultural background for children, teenagers and the elderly as well as exercising students' professional practical ability and building the brand of the School of Foreign Languages of CCNU while exporting the specialty characteristics of the School of Foreign Languages of CCNU.
During the epidemic period, the Youth Association of the School of Foreign Languages of CCNU mobilized all the young volunteers in the school to participate in the volunteer service of epidemic prevention and control for grassroots under the premise of personal safety, such as participating in the regional epidemic prevention and control, tutoring the children of the medical staff and taking the professional advantage to translate the imported drugs and so on. Young volunteers fully realized their mission and responsibility through serving the society and carried forward the spirit of volunteer service of "dedication, amicability, mutual assistance and advance".
In the future, the Youth Volunteer Association of the School of Foreign Languages of CCNU will continue to play an exemplary and leading role as the advanced volunteer service team, organize volunteer activities with the purpose of "serving the community, caring for others and contributing to the society", attract more young people to join in the volunteer service, show the responsibility and take practical actions to practice the "Lei Feng spirit" in the new era.
