The Voice of CCNU On the evening of October 16th, Class 2003 of College of Chemistry launched the Youth League Day activity in November successfully in the classroom 423 of new Chemistry Building, which was themed with "Lighting up collections of the Hubei Provincial Museum". The Youth League Day activity was aimed to show the extensive and profound Chinese civilization and guide students to enjoy the beauty of cultural relics in person and realize the humanistic spirits behind them. Liu Xiao, head teacher of the class, and Liu Min, assistant head teacher of the class, were invited to participate in the activity.

At the beginning of the activity, Xing Yesi, secretary of the Youth League, summarized the trip to the museum and introduced the content and purpose of the Youth League Day activity. Then, every student shared their favorite cultural relics during the museum journey for study in turn. Huang Yumin introduced the powder enamel lotus suction cup, which is delicate and attractive, with the implication of the poem, “I always keep my heart pure, like keeping a fine jade in the jade pot”. Wu Dan introduced the chime bells from the Tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng State, the primary treasure of the museum, whose wonderful music impressed everyone deeply. From the texture and use of cultural relics to the stories behind them, the picture scroll of Chinese civilization was slowly unfolded due to the detailed introduction.
In the next part, Wu Xueting, vice class monitor, presided over the knowledge contest on cultural relics in Hubei Provincial Museum. The students all raised their hands to answer questions, building an exceedingly active atmosphere. Ranging from the four primary museum treasures of Hubei Provincial Museum, and the origin of tin sacrificial vessels, to the chemical composition of the Yibi coin, students learned a lot of knowledge related to cultural relics in the brilliant contest. Later, Xing Yesi, secretary of the Youth League, awarded the special prize, handmade creative notes of Hubei Provincial Museum, to the well-performed students during the Youth League Day activity. Xue Lian, an award winner, said, "The Youth League Day activity with the topic of cultural relics has helped me gain a deeper understanding of cultural relics. I will remember the educational experience in the museum all my life, and I was really surprised at the special prize I won."

Taste the history and explore the cultural relics. During the two-hour activity, the preexistence and present life of “the pride of our country” were narrated. In spite of the various cultural relics and the different historical backgrounds, the humanistic spirits contained in them remained unchanged. In this activity, students of Class 2003 not only gained an experience of contacting cultural relics, but also developed the confidence and pride in Chinese culture.
At the end of the activity, the two head teachers respectively delivered a speech, making a summary of the Youth League Day activity, praising the active participation of the students and made some guidelines on the study plans of the next month. After that, the Youth League Day activity rang down the curtain smoothly.
