The Voice of CCNU On the night of November 15th, the lecture on safety education for newcomers of grade 2020 from the School of Information Management was held in Room N301. Secretary of Youth League Committee and Counselor of grade 2017 as well as grade 2020 Jiang Keming and students of grade 2020 from the School of Information Management attended the activity. The lecture was divided into four parts including the appreciation of short plays, the award-winning quizzes, the view of videos and the analysis of cases.
First came the short plays on safety education performed by students from the Department of Rights and Services, which aimed to arouse students’ awareness of self-protection and prevent students from the violation of lawbreakers in the society. Students performed two short plays on safety education which were close to our daily life with the recapitulation of the cases and the humorous style. The performance received unanimous favorable comments from everyone. The short plays were not only a form of performance，but they were also a reflection of reality. The most significant influence of the two plays was to remind students to realize the importance of avoiding frauds and taking precautions in their daily life. In order to add interest and interaction to the lecture, the Support Alliance of Internet Security organized the award-winning quizzes. The host posed five questions related to safety. Students took an active part in the activity and raced to answer the questions with their knowledge of avoiding frauds. The questions made the awareness of safety deeply rooted in everyone’s heart.
After the award-winning quizzes, the Department of Rights and Services played the situational videos about the danger and hidden traps of the network loans. With the development of the internet and communication network as well as the increasingly infiltration of excessive consumption, the network loans became the sharp weapon which tormented the college students. The videos clearly analyzed different traps of network loans to remind students of the importance to cultivate the rational consumption concept and avoid suffering a great deal for coveting small profits
As the activity drew to a close, the lecturer analyzed the fraud cases and introduced relevant methods to safeguard students’ rights. Not only did she analyze the different fraud cases one by one and integrate them, but she also detailedly told about the contents of fraud prevention and displayed the complete system of the fraud prevention which provided a platform for students to get a systematic understanding about how to take precautions for frauds and safeguard their rights. The sharing benefited students a lot.
The lecture on safety education for students of grade 2020 from the School of Information Management came to the marvelous end. We all hoped that students could enhance their vigilance and awareness of safety，show the criminals no chance and enjoy the precious four-year college days safely.
