The Voice of CCNU Taking the chance of Safety Education Week, Tian Jun, Xie Dingyi, Wang Aolin, Chen Jinhui, Li Hui, Wu Jing, and Zhang Luyang visited the student dorm and spread some knowledge concerning dorm safety on the morning of November, 18th to raise students’ awareness of dorm safety and promise them a safe and stable environment for study and living in the coming winter.
The visit lasted for totally two and a half hours, Tian Jun and Xie Dingyi successively visited No.1, No.3, No.4, No.6, and No.12 Student Dormitories in the eastern part, and No.3, No.5 in the Yuanbao Mountain part. During the visit, the leaders thoughtfully asked students about their study and living conditions, and gave high praises for some excellent rooms, especially when they arrived the No.6 dorm for boys in the eastern part. Thanks to leaders and teachers’ supervision students of the School of mathematics and statistics significantly raised their awareness on electrical safety.
In the meanwhile, leaders such as Tian Jun also gave prominence to problems like the anti-epidemic measures and the tidiness of the dorm. She carefully investigated whether there were hand sanitizer and disinfectant in the rooms and reminded that:” We should all pay enormous attention to the anti-epidemic measures. Wash our hands from time to time, let the fresh air go into the rooms and disinfect the dorm in time.” During the process, the counsellors of all the grades reminded students to address the take-out boxes and express boxes timely and wash their hands right after they contact those objects. The considerable importance that the leaders attached to dorm safety reflected the concern they devoted to students’ growth.
After the visit, Hu Shengyou, a freshman majoring in Mathematics and Statistics, said that:” It made me feel a family-like warmth that teachers were actually so concerned about us. What’s more, I grasped more knowledge concerning using the electricity and preventing the accidents, which benefited me a lot.” Not only did this visit leave the school leaders a better knowledge of students’ lives, but also helped raise students’ awareness of safety, lead them to obey the dorm rules and create a better environment for study and living.
