The Voice of CCNU In order to provide a platform for students to acquire more knowledge of safety and arouse their awareness of personal security, an important lecture concerning the personal security of students was held in the multi-function building of Nanhu by the Research Center for Rights and Interests of the School of Computer Science on the night of October 25th. The lecture was presided over by the Research Center for Rights and Interests. Leader of the Ministries and Commissions Zhang Guotao served as the lecturer. Part of students from the School of Computer Science in grade 2020 attended the activity.
At the beginning of the activity, lecturer Zhang Guotao briefly introduced the main contents of the lecture. Aimed at the safety education of students, the lecture provided clear knowledge of safety for students from the aspects of dormitory, fire prevention and frauds and so on. To begin with, Zhang Guotao came straight to the dormitory safety in the lecture which was concerned by everyone to arouse students’ awareness of property safety and reminded them of the importance of taking good care of personal valuables in case of burglaries and loss. The Research Center for Rights and Interests specially issued a series of measures like putting up notices to look for items or owners so as to minimize the losses of students. At the same time, Zhang Guotao mentioned some other points which were worthy of attention such as falling objects and electrical safety.
After introducing the dormitory safety, Zhang Guotao talked to students about the knowledge of fire safety. When it came to the fire safety, most students admitted that there were blind areas for them. Then lecturer Zhang Guotao instructed students how to escape from the fire and handle the fire-fighting equipment with some vivid pictures. Last but not least, lecturer Zhang Guotao referred to the common swindle criminal cases. He took vivid cases around everyone’s life for example, convincing the students of the danger of online frauds, concurrent post frauds and message frauds. In face of danger, the Research Center for Rights and Interests also gave tips on taking precautions against frauds, helping students have a profound knowledge of frauds and avoid to be cheated.
In the end, the Research Center for Rights and Interests shared their official QQ, expecting to solve everyone’s problems related to the rights and interests wholeheartedly with a sense of enthusiasm, willingness and responsibility. They also promised that they would spare no effort to provide the utmost convenience for students and maintain their rights and interests. Not only did the lecture reveal the great importance which the school attached to the improvement of students’ safety awareness, but it also demonstrated the spirit of devotion of the Ministries and Commissions of the Research Center for Rights and Interests. The meeting perfectly interpreted the essence of “love in CCNU”. After the lecture, students all said that they gained profound knowledge of safety and benefited a lot from the activity.
