Brief Introduction: On a peaceful Christmas Day, Lady, a lovely little lady dog, was given to his darling wife by Jim as a Christmas present. Grown up in such a wealthy and upper class family, Lady was so spoiled that she knew nothing about the outside world. Even when Darling got a baby, they still treated Lady as a family. But things went wrong when Jim and Darling decided to take a trip and left the baby for Jim’s aunt to look after. This aunt disliked Lady but loved her naughty cats. So, because of misunderstanding, Lady ran away from home and so, came across Tramp, a homeless street dog. During Lady’s tough time outside in the real world, Tramp protected her and comforted her. With misunderstanding disappearing and romance forming between two dogs, in the end of the story, also on a peaceful Christmas day, Tramp became a member of the family and had four lovely baby dogs with Lady.

Comments: This is a typical Disney fairy tale. Everything in this movie goes so smoothly and the ending is so perfect. There are some misunderstandings in it and there are things that go wrong at the beginning, but they are all solved in the end. Like at first, when Darling just get pregnant, Lady is ignored for a while, but after the baby is born, Lady falls in love with this little creature at her first sight of it, and Jim and Darling still see Lady as an important family member. Many plots in this cartoon can make us think. The new born baby doesn’t replace Lady, on the contrary, Lady become its friend and protector, while in reality there are so many families abandoning their dogs because a baby is coming. And when Tramp is caught by the Dog Haunting Team because of helping Lady protect the baby from the rat, Trusty, an old haunting dog, runs to save him without a second thought. This makes us reflect on friendship. Is friendship as pure as it is in the film in real life? As for love and romance, even if you have never seen this movie, you may have heard about the classical scene: Lady and Tramp kiss for the first time when having spaghetti for dinner. And it’s always touching to see that all the characters get together at Christmas night after all the trails and tribulations.
