The autumn wind blew in the school, dyeing the platans yellow in the Youming Gymnasium, and blowing away the heat of summer. In early November, CCNU held the autumn sports meeting of 2020. As a freshman, this was the first sports meetig that I took part in. Although it only lasted for three days, it left me a good memory which was able to light up the whole winter. And what touched me was the inclusiveness of our university.
秋风入校，染黄了佑铭体育场的梧桐大树，吹走了夏日的炎热焦躁。11月初，华中师范大学举行了2020年的秋季田径运动会。 作为大一新生，这是我在华师度过第一个运动会。虽然只有三天，但它给我留下了足以点亮整个冬天的美好回忆。而打动我的，则是大学校园的包容性。
Some people might ask, why is inclusiveness? What does inclusiveness mean in the sports meeting? From my point of view, inclusiveness, the biggest difference between college and high school, is the support and encouragement to the diversity and the appreciation of free development.
有人会问，为什么是包容性？运动会中的包容性指的是什么？ 在我看来，包容性，也是大学与高中最大的不同，是对丰富多彩的支持与鼓励，是对自由发展的赞扬。
I still remember that in primary school, junior high school and senior high school, everyone would immerse themslves in joy at the sports meeting. But the school would always require the spectators from each class to watch the games in a fixed position, and those who were not the participants or staff were not allowed to stay in the playground or the playing field. Although this was conducive to management, in my opinion, to a certain extent, it was a waste of such valuable sports meeting opportunities. Chinese children always have more classes than holidays, learn more but play less, and lack physical exercise. The sports meetings provide great opportunities for students to feel the positive energy of sports. Experiencing the games closely on the playground, waiting for your buddies to sprint and cheering for friends beside the track will all touch the students and leave them with wonderful memories. But if the students are only allowed to stay in the spectator seats, some students may play mobile phones or even do homework. Such a low sense of participation is a waste of the sports meeting, isn’t it?
仍记得小学、初中或是高中，每逢运动会，大家都欣喜不已。但学校总是会要求每个班的观众人员在固定的位置上观看比赛，凡不是参赛或者工作人员都不得在操场或比赛场地逗留。这虽然是有益于秩序的管理，但在我看来，这在一定程度上浪费了宝贵的运动会机会。 中国的孩子总是课多而假少，学习多而玩耍少，并且缺乏体育锻炼。 运动会正是一个很棒的机会让学生们能感受到体育带给人们的积极力量。 在操场上近距离感受比赛，在终点等待同伴冲刺，在赛道旁为朋友助威呐喊，这些都将感染着同学们并且会给他们留下美好的回忆。 如果只是让同学们留在观众席，有部分同学就会开始玩手机甚至拿起作业来写。这样低的参与感，难道不是对运动会的一种浪费吗？
The sports meeting of university is totally different. On the playground surrounded with platans, each school had its own base camp around the playground. Cheering drums would be put in front of these base camps, and each time the game started, there was a drumming sound, trembling people’s hearts. When the participants ran to “the door of their own houses", they could hear the cheers. How inspiring it was!
反观大学的运动会，在梧桐围绕的操场上，每个学院都有自己的大本营，围绕操场一圈。前面会摆上加油鼓，每临比赛，都有锵锵鼓声，颤动人心。 当比赛选手们跑到“自家门前”时，都可以听到助威呐喊。这该有多么鼓舞人心啊！
Volunteers would take their own athletes who was arranged to the given position to check in. In the long distance race, students who ran with the runners would take turns to run inside the playground, carrying the flags of their own schools. There were also staff around the playground who raised the flag to indicate the situation to each other. Students in various media departments were taking photos, interviewing or recording; students in logistics department were managing back-up supplies; cheering squads were dancing to cheer; cartoon characters were interacting with students and sometimes the old workers would be attracted to sit down to watch the games, all of which made up a vibrant and colorful picture of the autumn playground.
前期招募的志愿者会带自己所安排的运动员去指定地点按时检录。在长跑项目中，陪跑的同学们会举着院旗以接力的形式在操场内陪跑，整个操场也有相应的秩序管理人员，举旗相互示意。各个媒体部的同学拍照、采访或记录着，后勤部的同学们整理着后备物资，拉拉队的同学们跳舞助威，卡通人物们与同学们互动着,偶尔也会有老员工被吸引来坐下观看比赛，所有的部分组成了秋日操场上生机而又多彩的画面。
