The Voice of CCNU On March 24th, the mobilization meeting for the second phase of the BGI AI Counselor Project was held in Room 203 of Building B of the University Student Activity Center. The meeting was presided over by Li Diao, deputy director of the Party Committee's Student Affairs Department and director of the Ideological and Political Work Department. Deputy Director Bao Xinlong, Teacher Liu Feng from the Student Affairs Department, and 21 counselors from relevant training units attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Li Diao elaborated on the original intention and mission of the second-phase project construction and made comprehensive mobilization and deployment. He pointed out that the remarkable achievements of the first-phase pilot work have laid a solid foundation for the second phase. Facing the wave of educational digital transformation, the traditional ideological and political work model urgently needs to be iterated and upgraded. He emphasized that the project construction should closely adhere to the fundamental task of "cultivating virtue and fostering talent", keep pace with the times, closely meet the needs of students and counselors, and effectively enhance the pertinence, effectiveness and affinity of ideological and political work through technological innovation. He stated that the Student Affairs Department will strengthen resource integration and collaborative linkage, provide all-round support in terms of funds, technology and resources, and fully support counselors in building their personal digital IP and deeply cultivating the digital ideological and political innovation base. He encouraged the counselors present to take the initiative, speak out boldly, showcase themselves and seize opportunities through the project platform, and temper their skills and achieve growth in practice.
Subsequently, Bao Xinlong elaborated on the "Construction Plan for the Second Phase of Huada AI Counselor". The plan clearly states that on the basis of the first phase, the project will enrich the image and connotation of the AI counselor's "digital avatar", focus on optimizing the three-level knowledge base system of "university - college - counselor", and deepen the application scenarios by focusing on the "urgent, difficult, distressing and worrying" problems of students and the difficulties and bottlenecks in the work of counselors. The aim is to make the AI counselor not only a considerate "digital assistant" for students, but also a capable "work partner" for front-line counselors.
Afterwards, Liu Feng reported on the progress of the initial knowledge base organization and the recent work arrangements. The participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the recent tasks and functional design, reaching a broad consensus. In the next step, the project team will accelerate the improvement of the knowledge base, corpus, and resource library construction, actively create new scenarios for "BGI AI Counselors", and continuously explore new paths and paradigms for artificial intelligence to empower ideological and political education, using digital and intelligent innovation to support the high-quality development of the school's moral education and talent cultivation work.
