The voice of CCNU On March 12, the Spring Semester 2026 Student Work Conference was held in the Lecture Hall on the 4th Floor of Block B, Student Activity Center. Chen Diming, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, attended the conference. Heads of the Party Committee Student Work Department, the Youth League Committee, and the Career Service Office, along with leaders in charge of student work from various training units, as well as all full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate counselors, participated in the meeting. The conference was chaired by Li Diao, Deputy Director of the Party Committee Student Work Department and Director of the Ideological and Political Education Division.

At the meeting, Li Diao provided an interpretation of the key tasks for 2026 based on the goal set by the Party Committee Student Work Department to make this year a "year of performance breakthroughs in student work." He outlined a clear direction to comprehensively advance the implementation of the project of fostering virtue through education in the new era, focusing on achieving targeted breakthroughs in six major areas: ideological education, psychological education, student affairs services, team development, brand cultivation, and inter-institutional collaboration. The goal is to promote a shift in student work from "tangible coverage" to "effective coverage," ensuring that "education with warmth" truly reaches the hearts of students. He emphasized that all political staff should draw on past experience, strengthen their convictions, remain dedicated to their field, and continue to take action. He called for promoting work reform and connotative development through in-depth research, and for continuously enhancing the relevance, effectiveness, and impact of student work.

Su Xiaogang, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, summarized the landmark achievements made in the university's Youth League work in 2025, and introduced the key tasks for the year as well as recent priorities. He proposed that in the new year, Youth League work should examine its positioning from a "global perspective," grasp the patterns of work based on the "characteristics of youth," and evaluate outcomes through a "results-oriented approach." Guided by the "four modernizations" as a pathway, and aiming to unite young people through whole-process guidance, mobilize them with full strength, serve them across all dimensions, and advance strict governance in all respects, he emphasized the importance of effectively leading students to step forward and make contributions in the university's high-quality development and local construction initiatives.

Dong Zhixiong, Director of the Career Service Office, analyzed the current employment situation and the progress of employment efforts for the Class of 2026. Focusing on the goal of achieving higher-quality and fuller employment, he outlined key annual tasks centered around two core objectives: building a full-stage career education system and establishing a high-quality employment service framework. He noted that each college should enhance the quality and efficiency of employment services by expanding diverse employment channels, deepening and refining career education, providing targeted assistance to key groups, and constructing a digital intelligence-enabled system, making every effort to effectively support the work for the Class of 2026.

Finally, Chen Diming, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, delivered a concluding speech that reviewed achievements, analyzed the situation, and outlined work priorities. He fully affirmed the effectiveness of student work in 2025, noting that over the past year, student ideological and political education had gained new momentum, security and stability had reached a new level, significant progress had been made in employment—a key livelihood priority—and student affairs services had built a renewed brand. He emphasized that "education with warmth" had achieved remarkable results in student development.
He stressed the importance of fully grasping the timing and momentum of student work, understanding the situation amid changing circumstances while enhancing political awareness, adopting a broad and forward-looking perspective to plan holistically, and leveraging the wisdom to seize opportunities in navigating changes, so as to strive for the high-quality development of the university's student work.

Regarding work for 2026, he called on political staff to fully focus on the annual priorities, maintaining a firm hold on bottom-line requirements while achieving development through tackling difficulties. First, they must unwaveringly uphold the bottom line of security and stability, always maintaining a sense of responsibility that leaves no room for rest, to build a strong campus safety defense. Second, they must unwaveringly strengthen employment and further education services, embracing the mission of "not leaving anyone behind" to guide student development, and making every effort to ensure steady improvements in the initial employment rate, year-end employment rate, and further education rate. Third, they must unwaveringly advance the development of smart student affairs, continuously enhancing work efficiency with a sense of urgency to leverage technology for empowerment. Fourth, they must unwaveringly cultivate a highly competent student affairs team, staying vigilant with the mindset that "the work is always ongoing" to inspire energy and initiative, thereby contributing greater strength to the high-quality development of the university.
