On the afternoon of March 12th, the Student Work Research Symposium with Huazhong University of Science and Technology was held in Conference Room 203 of the Student Activity Center. Wu Jiange, Deputy Director of the Graduate Work Office of Office of Student Affairs of HUST, Gao Cuixia, the head of Office of Allocation of the Human Resources Department, Ma Yinren, Head of Graduate Ideological Education Department of Office of Student Affairs of HUST, Li Qing, Head of the Ideological Education Department of the Medical Student Affairs Office of Office of Student Affairs of HUST, Chen Yinbing, a Graduate Moral Education Assistant of Office of Student Affairs of HUST, and others visited our school to conduct research and exchange ideas on the student work. Li Xianling, Deputy Director of the Ideological and Political Affairs Department of Office of Student Affairs of CCNU, Xu Henghong, a member of the Counselor Development Office, Cao Yu, Director of the Office of Graduate Ideological and Political Education, Yun Lida, a employee of the Personnel Department, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Director Li Xianling.

At the beginning of the meeting, Li Xianling expressed sincere welcome to the visiting colleagues on the student work front of HUST, and hoped that basing on exchanging information on the construction of the counselor teams of the two universities, this meeting could become a good start for in-depth cooperation in student work between the two universities.

Subsequently, Deputy Director Wu Jiange first introduced the overall situation of the Office of Student Affairs of HUST, and detailed the specific work status and development difficulties encountered in the construction of the counselor team, the ideological and political education of graduate students, and graduate affairs management.

Next, based on their specific responsibilities, the attending teachers introduced the current situation of our school’s “integrated undergraduate and graduate” student work system, counselor team construction, the ideological and political education of graduate students, and staff career development. The teachers from both schools also conducted in-depth understanding and full communication on some work details.

This symposium is the beginning of in-depth exchange and discussion on student work between the two schools, mutual learning and promotion, and active joint development. In the future, the two schools will further cooperate and exchange to jointly promote the improvement and efficiency of the student work.
