On January 22, the 2023 Autumn Semester Summary seminar of the Faculty workshop of "Shu Miao" of the School of Mathematics and Statistics was held in Conference room M323, Building 6. Li Diao, Deputy Minister of the Office of Student Affairs of the Party Committee of the School, Liu Chengzhu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Zheng Gaofeng, Deputy President, Jiang Mina, head of the "Shu Miao" teacher studio, studio tutors Cheng Ting, Chen Gang, Yang Cuihong, Huang Jicai, Liu Chuangye, Dai Jinjun, Deng Qingquan, Xu Zhangtao, Ding Wenting, Li Shugang, Fan Qiong, Wang Chunxiang and all undergraduate full-time and part-time counselors of the School of Mathematics and Statistics attended the meeting. The seminar was presided over by Yang Kejun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mathematics and Statistics.

Jiang Mina introduced the construction of the studio in the fall semester of 2023 to the participants, and made a statement about the team composition and activities. During the autumn semester of 2023, the studio conducted 17 one-to-one interviews of "Shu Miao appointments". Professional teachers provided questions and follow-up services for students in aspects of professional learning, student research training program, postgraduate admission examination, etc, and more than 200 people were interviewed online and offline. It held five “Shu Miao” sharing meetings, invited professional teachers, teaching secretaries, outstanding students and other groups of the college to share the growth plan, graduation thesis guidance, credit inventory guidance and other special sharing. Relying on the construction of dormitory No.6 in the East District of the school, it organized public mathematics classes and professional courses to answer questions offline 4 times at the end of the semester, and served more than 400 students.

Up to now, the studio tutor team consists of 14 professional teachers and administrative teachers, giving full play to the professional influence and personality appeal of full-time teachers, and penetrating the education effectiveness into the curriculum, scientific research, management, service and other education links. At the seminar, Zheng Gaofeng presented the letter of appointment to new tutors of the studio, who are Fan Qiong, Ding Wenting, Wang Chunxiang and Li Shugang.

The participants focused on the topic of "What can front-line teachers do in terms of broadening students' horizons and improving the patterns", and exchanged discussions on practical issues such as "the development direction of the studio in the later period", "how to coordinate the studio with the student team", and "professional help for students with academic difficulties". Zheng Gaofeng pointed out that in the later period, the studio should continue to base on the two aspects of the guidance of excellent students and remedies for students with learning difficulties, strengthen the linkage and cooperation with the team of students and workers, and make joint efforts to cultivate the talent team that leads the development of basic education. Yang Kejun said that the words "Shu Miao" reflect the teachers' initial intention to educate and guide students to grow into talents, and the college integrates the teaching materials of the studio team in the later period to tell the college's teaching story.


On behalf of the college, Liu Chengzhu expressed his gratitude to the studio tutors and the student team who have been working hard for a long time, and affirmed the results achieved since the construction of the studio. He pointed out that in terms of professional guidance, security and stability, and employment services, the teachers showed the working energy of "direction in the eyes, responsibility on the shoulders, mind in the chest, method in the hand, and strength at the foot". In the future, the College will continue to provide support and services for the construction of the studio. It is hoped that the studio will further give full play to the advantages of professional teachers, clarify the job orientation, and promote more meaningful work for the college in terms of talent training, learning style and cultural construction.

In his speech, Li Diao paid tribute and thanks to the studio tutors for their support and dedication to ideological and political education work, and put forward three prospects for the follow-up work: First, the studio should continue to pay attention to the construction of one-stop student community, rely on the student community to continuously solve practical problems in the process of professional development and employment of students, and empower professional development and personal development of teachers in the process of education; Second, the studio should firmly grasp the orientation of talent training, continue to serve ideological and political education, based on the overall requirements of educational evaluation reform, and clarify the important role of education work in discipline construction; Third, the studio should continue to focus on "major" strength, give full play to the advantages of the studio's full-time teachers, uphold the working concept of "accumulated efforts , long time for work", and refine the studio's sustainable education function.

This seminar aimed to sort out and summarize the work of the studio in the autumn semester of 2023, and discuss and exchange ideas for the later construction of the studio. In the future, the College will continue to promote the construction of the studio, focus on "collaborative development, radiation driving, leading innovation", and lead all the teachers of the college to become the guide of students' mental health growth.
