Voice of CCNU On the afternoon of March 14th, Class 2003 of College of Chemistry held the League Day activity: Learn from the Pioneers and Strive to be Qualified Teenagers at Room 101 in Yifu Building. Acting as a Mobilization order for the new semester, this activity was aimed at leading the students to set a correct concept of honor and disgrace and to understand the tasks and responsibilities of teenagers. Liu Min, the headmaster of Class 2003, was invited.
At the beginning, Muhai Maiti, the master of Class 2003 gave a brief introduction of the aim and procedure of this event. Then came the first section: the by-election of class cadres. Xu Yuemeng, Huang Yumin and Wang Jun went on the stage and introduced their advantages and expressed their passion and willingness to serve the classmates separately. Finally, according to the students’ willingness, Xu Yuemeng was voted as the publicity monitor, and Huang Yumin and Wang Jun were voted as the general affairs monitors.
Next, the headmaster Liu Min made a summary of last term and encourage students to put down the burden and make bigger progress this term. In the following sections, Huang Yumin and Huang Jinyan introduced ancient Chinese heroic stories from two perspectives: Looking Backwards and Stay Down to the Earth. Huang Yumin cut in by quoting the Chinese poem Chu Sai written by Wang Changling and introduced Li Guang, a great general of Han Dynasty, Zhang Shougui, a famous frontier general of Yuan Dynasty and Yang Jiajiang, which showed the passionate love for country of Chinese people. As for Huang Jinyan, she mainly talked about five heroes who sacrificed in the Karakoram Plateau last June. She also shared the chat record of one of her friends, who is also a soldier: If it was me who was faced with that situation, I would also choose to sacrifice for the country. Their strong sense of love for the country really attracted the students.
Finally, Wang Gang and Xiang Yanan shared some tips concerning PPT and planning case making. As normal students, grasping the usage of software is also an important part of learning. The students present were all devoted. One of the students, Ba Hejiang said, I would continue to study hard and raise our application ability.
Finally, Wang Jun led the students to swear an oath. Through this event, the spirit of the guarding heroes had been carved into students’ heart, and the League Day activity finally ended in the solemn voice of the students.
