The Voice of CCNU In March, students in CCNU not only welcomed the beautiful cherry blossoms, but also the "Learn from Lei Feng Volunteer Service Month Series Activities". In order to respond to the initiative of the activity as well as help students recycle old clothes, under the guidance of the Youth League Committee, Sage Soldiers' Love Club and the Youth Volunteer Association of CCNU held the old clothes donation activity of "Recycling Old Clothes, Aiding Education" of the "V Campus" program of the youth volunteers of CCNU. The activity was successfully held at 8:00 a.m. on March 14th in Guizishan Campus of Central China Normal University, near the basketball court in the East District and at the entrance of Nanhu Campus canteen. Students of the Youth Volunteer Association of various colleges (departments) of CCNU and members of the Sage Soldiers' Love Club took an active part in it.
At nine o 'clock in the morning, several students in blue volunteer jackets were already busy, picking, sorting and summarizing the clothes from various colleges. Volunteers from various colleges did not leave directly after registering relevant information, but joined the clothing sorting teams. The volunteers were rapt and engaged, moving from one recycling bag to another. There were also students who did not waited for the members of their college volunteer association to collect the old clothes but voluntarily took their unused clothes to the old clothes recycling point.
Soon it was noon, and the glare of the sun and the sweltering temperatures didn't stop the recycling activity. No matter in front of Gui Xiang Canteen or in Nanhu Campus, volunteers were all carefully arranging the clothes next to them or patiently guiding the students who came to donate clothes. Their devotion and earnestness explained the word "dedication" in the spirit of volunteerism. When the sun set in the west, the recycling bags was piled like a small mountain.
Around 9 p.m., all the recycled clothes were transported back to the College Student Service Center. The members of the Holy Soldiers' Love Club contacted the person in charge and packed up all the unused old clothes and donated them to the Hubei Charity Federation. This event was not only a volunteer activity, but also a charity activity and green action. Every volunteer was not only a participant in the activity, but also a disseminator of volunteerism and love. The activity was over, but the story of volunteerism will never be over.
