In the afternoon of December 3rd, the "flag" studio, which is the growth and cultivation base of the counselors of CCNU, held a reading and sharing activity of "Learn the Spirits of Four History, Carry Forward the Dreams of Youth" in the Jingwei Learning and Development Center. The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee, Li Diao; the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Marxism, Shao Lili and the counselor of the School of Chemistry, Ma Ying took part in the activity. The activity was hosted by Deputy Secretary Shao.
The Deputy Minister Li Presented Books to Counselors
Firstly, the Deputy Minister Li instructed the activity and the work of counselors. He emphasized that the new era made new requests on students work, so we must do well in ideological and political work, and we must learn Four History deeply. At the same time, he also expressed his opinions on how to balance the daily work and scientific study for counselors. Then, He presented all the participants a book called Why Is It China, and encouraged counselors to stick on studying and making constant progress.
Counselor Lu Wen of College of Urban and Environmental Sciences (CUES), counselor Li ZheLi of School of Chinese Language and Literature, and teacher Guo Jingyao of School of Sociology shared the book Twelve Open Classes on Four History. Counselor Lu thought that this book wrote the development journey of Shanghai. She recalled the historical stories of opening ports and the concession in Shanghai, and she thought that we had stuck to the Four Confidence in our process of learning history after comparing the concession in Hankou with that in Shanghai. Teacher Li carried out a sharing about "Reading the History and Understanding the World, Learning from the Past and Preparing for the Future". She appealed to us that “only if we don't forget our original intention can we open up the future and only if we are good at inheritance can we innovate better” by analyzing and explaining the Battle of Silver Dollar in Shanghai, the Battle of Rice and Cotton and the Battle of Estate. Teacher Guo showed the confidence in the socialist system and road with Chinese characteristics by sharing her own experiences. She said that only by learning Four History well which was an important life lesson can youth stick to their dreams and faith, and have the confidence in the socialist road, theories, system and culture with Chinese characteristics and then truly become a firm believer in Marxism.

The teachers who attended this activity also actively expressed their learning insights and shared their feelings about their daily studies and the ideological and political education on students. Deputy Secretory Shao expressed that counselors should actively learn the Four History, read more and good books, and transmit the revolutionary spirit and Chinese spirit in books to the young students through sharing reading and telling stories.
