The Voice of CCNU On the evening of November 29, the employment experience sharing conference of School of Information Management for the junior students was held in the N301 classroom of Teaching Complex Building in Nanhu Campus. The senior student, Wu Xiaohong, was invited as the speaker of this meeting, in order to share her job-hunting experience. This event was hosted by Lu Wang, the instructor of junior students.
Wu Xiaohong is a senior student of the electronic commerce department of School of Information Management. She is taking up an internship in Byte Dance at present, as a member of Communist Party of China. She has achieved plenty of honors in CCNU meanwhile. During the session, she actively interacted with the audiences and understood the future plans as well as the employment intentions of the junior students. Then, she demonstrated useful advice and presented attention points in four aspects: fundamental situation, words we need to know, the directions of employment and her own experience.

She encouraged students not to define themselves when they are looking for jobs and their efforts will eventually pay off in accordance with her job applications. She also gave an introduction to the words we should know before the applications, such as HR, JD, common internships, summer time internships, autumn recruitment, spring recruitment and so on. Furthermore, she emphasized the significance of the summer internships and autumn recruitment. Afterwards, when it came to the employment directions, Wu Xiaohong summarized four possible categories on basis of the characters of her profession, which are Internet companies, banks, China’s three major operators and official teachers. Following that, she illustrated the process and special requirements of diverse jobs.

She offered suggestions as well as useful methods for every procedure of the job applications. Initially, she exposed that the employment information could be acquired from these recruiting websites such as BOSS, if the employment intentions have been certain. When you are writing your resumes, pay attention to the construction. For instance, some parts of your introduction ought to be highlighted while some need to be brief. Apart from that, the key points need to be in bold, but repetition needs be avoided. Moreover, she said, in the final interviews, we ought to maintain positive attitude and eliminate students’ thinking pattern, which tends to be rather simple, and seize the initiative. In addition, according to her own experience, she shared how she remove her foul mood. For example, she would record and review the job-hunting process to keep optimistic and have a conversation with others. Eventually, she conveyed her anticipation and wishes towards the junior students.
After the sharing, Lu Wang made a summary of this meeting. He firstly expressed his thanks to Miss. Wu, and he believed that these sufficient experience and valuable advice could be helpful. The sharing session not only provided a platform for communicating the ideas of job hunting for junior students, but also made it possible for students to gain practical experience from successful cases.
