At 8 a.m. on November 7, the opening ceremony of the training class for potential Party members in the School of Fine Arts and the School of Chinese Language and Literature of Central China Normal University was held in the lecture hall on the eighth floor of the School of Fine Arts. The opening ceremony was presided over by Li Xiaodan, the undergraduate class monitor of grade 2017. The Party secretary of the School of Fine Arts Fu Yichao, the Party secretary of the School of Chinese Language and Literature Zhu Qinghai, the leading teacher Li Qing, the branch director of the School of Chinese Language and Literature Ma Xiao, and the head teacher Sun Yu attended the opening ceremony.

There were five procedures of the opening ceremony. First of all, in a solemn atmosphere, all members stood up and sang the National Anthem of the People’s Republic of China.
Fu Yichao, the Party secretary of the School of Fine Arts made a mobilization speech on the training class for potential Party members in the School of Fine Arts and the School of Chinese Language and Literature in the second half of 2020. He emphasized the word "cherish" in his speech. He said that affected by the epidemic, it was not easy to carry out the Party class. And he hoped that all the students could cherish this hard-won opportunity to learn the history of the Party, learn the theoretical knowledge of the Party, further improve themselves, and establish the firm belief of "serving the Party and the country". Finally, Party secretary Fu wished all the students to complete the training successfully and become a qualified member of the Communist Party of China as soon as possible.

Sun Yu, the head teacher of the School of Fine Arts, made a speech. Teacher Sun mainly stressed requirements in the process of learning Party courses. Firstly, focus on learning; adhere to the combination of collective learning and individual self-study. Secondly, strengthen mutual exchanges. And the students of the two schools should draw on each other's strengths, promote and progress together. Thirdly, strictly observe the learning discipline and take notes carefully in order to ensure the learning effect.

Then, Chen Pengduo, a graduate student of the School of Fine Arts, spoke on behalf of the students. In her speech, she referred to the gratifying victory of China's epidemic prevention work, which was a victory under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. At the same time, she called on all students in the class to do the following in their learning process. Firstly, cherish the Party school learning opportunity; do not be late, do not leave early, do not be absent for no reason, strive to complete the learning task, and improve their own political theory and ideological and moral levels markedly. Secondly, in daily study and life, conduct oneself under the strict standard of a Party member; Thirdly, keep in mind the party's tenet and set an example of serving the people wholeheartedly.
