The Voice of CCNU-On the night of October 4th, the welcome party for newcomers of CCNU in 2020 was successfully held via the webcast on the platform of bilibili. Considering the requirement to prevent and control the epidemic, the prevalent mode of transmission, live video streaming, was applied to the welcome party. Under the theme of “coming as expected, filled with joy”, the welcome party was divided into three sections including “love”, “encounter”, and “future”. The grand meeting was hosted by the Communist Youth League of the Central China Normal University Committee and undertaken by the student union of Central China Normal University. Yang Xinye and Zhu Yuting of the host team and Li Miao and Wu Siyu of the radio station served as the hosts.
The opening show of the welcome party was the dance POP/STAR, which was performed by the art and dance troupe of CCNU. Nothing could be more inspiring than the dynamic melody and the vigorous dance. All the students were infected by the passionate show and many of them used bullet comments to convey their excitement.
The first section of the welcome party “love” began with the melody of Kids of Wuhan. Student Deng Yuxuan who had sung the song Kids of Wuhan in the show Striving Youth Is the Most Beautiful——Special Program of Youth Day of 2020 was specially invited. This time, she sang along with Li changyu and some other students. Not only did their affectionate performance fully express their genuine blessings for Wuhan, but it also spread the ardor to every student of CCNU sitting in front of the screen. The following song Today More than Tomorrow prepared by Wu Shuqi, Hou Kai, Yang Aoran and Yi Xiangqi, vividly displayed the delight and sweetness in everyone’s heart after the belated meeting. The last item of the first section was the MV of Youth designed for our school, which was wholeheartedly recorded by teachers and student representatives of CCNU. They combined the song, the buildings and the motto of our school, so as to express their sincere wishes to the newcomers of CCNU in 2020.
Then came the second section of the welcome party “encounter”. The program To Meet on the North Star preluded its performance with a magic show The Great Transformation. It was a show that contained magic, animations and songs. The marvelous magic show was perfectly combined with the youthful dance Rainbow Beat and the dynamic song Magic Movements of the North Star, bringing a feast for both eyes and ears to the audience.
Next, the radio station of CCNU shared the stage play Company. The audience saw the silent company of their families through the performers' presentation of the life of a family with both students in the final year of senior high and teachers during the epidemic period. Punch lines like "Ge You slouching", "Zhang Dongsheng" and "taking you to climb the mountain" are also included in the show, bringing both tears and laughter to the stage play. The performance of Do You Want to Dance brought by the band Come and Dance and Here Is Your Youth brought by DC hip-hop Club pumped all the audience up continuously, contributing to the climax of the atmosphere.
The performance of To Be the King of the World brought by the orchestra of folk music led the party to the last section. A lot of Chinese musical instruments were played. “It was like a big band, blowing everyone up." Zhong Rui, a freshman from the College of Foreign Languages, exclaimed. Just as our school song mentioned that cherish love for students and they can ride the wind and soar high. Love lies in CCNU. The song I love by Li Changyu annotated the power of love to the audience. Fellow students who have just graduated conveyed their heartfelt blessings to our newcomers in 2020 through the dance Love in CCNU. So far, the welcome party of 2020 came to a satisfactory end
