In order to lead students to learn more about Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, encourage them to get familiar with the development advantages of their hometown areas and reflect the excellent results under the leadership of President Xi, the Youth League Committee Student Union of School of Fine Arts organized the social practice activity “Recording the poverty alleviation in hometown with painting brushes” from July 8th.
There are more than 100 works received, including paintings, posts and videos. Students combined their works with their feelings and emotion, expressing their love for their hometowns and country.
Using professional drawing skills, students described the great changes happened to their hometowns after the poverty alleviation with their works. The oil painting Fruit stand reflected the improvement of living standard and quality of the folks in Xiaogan, Hubei Province. The Watercolor painting documentary of Qian Xiaohuai described the beautiful scenery of the Qian Xiaohuai Village in Wanrong County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, which had been transformed into a tourist village after poverty alleviation. From Small to prosperity documented the dramatic changes in Henan Province since the founding of the People's Republic of China. Starlight was based in Shanxi, eulogizing the results of poverty alleviation.
According to the person in charge, this social practice activity combines professional training and ideological and political education. In the process of learning about the state of the nation and the people, the students used their brushes to record the simple people's livelihood, witnessed the great changes in the development of their hometown, and inspired the love of hometown and patriotism.
