The Voice of CCNU On the evening of May 3, School of Computer Science and School of Information Management jointly held an online leagued activity on Tencent Meeting, which was themed on “Bloom your youth in the epidemic fighting and inherit the spirit of May Forth”. The activity was aimed to deepen and strengthen the education of patriotism, as well as inspire and guide students of CCNU to set great goals and consolidate the sense of mission in the key period of fighting against epidemic nationwide. People preparing for and presenting at the meeting included He Shuai, secretary of School of Computer Science Youth League, Mu Fan, secretary of School of Information Management, student leaders from the two schools and all members of the two schools’1904 league branch.
At the beginning, Guo Yufan and Li Linpei from School of Information Management shared their own understanding of the activity “Yun Dai Ying Youth Lecturer Team: May Forth special lectures on youngsters’ stories in fighting against epidemic”. Guo Yufan said that, in 2003 others protected post-90s, otherwise after almost 20 years and now, it was them to protect other people. They struggled to close the door of the virus with their hands and bodies in countless sleepless day and night. Li Linpei said, at the time of nationwide panic, there were droves of heroes rushing to the front of the epidemic, swearing by their life. Constructors worked day and night in the front, so Huoshenshan Hospital and Leishenshan Hospital rose successively; medical workers strived to rescue life. Those all showed the sense of responsibility of Chinese people.

The secretary of School of Computer Science Youth League, He Shuai, talked about his own experience and feelings in the epidemic. He hoped students to remember: do not to forget their origin and slack off; no vicious talk and no careless word. During the time of staying at home, he advised students to value time and resource, being self-disciplined, hard-working, self-respecting and self-confident, and grasp every second, no wasting youth, in which way they could let their life shine.
Next, Yuan Jiangyan, Lei Liwei and Yuan Bo in different groups from School of Computer Science gave talks in terms of studying and living in holidays, understanding of the spirit of May Forth and feelings about the epidemic. Cheng Ai from the group of Yuan Jiangyan recommended an APP called Chao Xi (Tides), which trains your attention and helps you to be more self-controlled in its training and be a better person. The group of Lei Liwei gave an introduction about the origin of the May Forth Movement, the aim of setting May Forth Youth Day and the core meaning of the spirit of May Forth. Besides, Shen Zihao from School of Information Management showed students the videos and fruits of his group’s laboring work. They were not only good at academies but also experts in daily life.

After watching the promo of May Forth Movement, teacher Mu Fan drew an conclusion of this activity and also had some suggestions for students: make preparations for long-term online studying without slackness, keep themselves unaffected by the epidemic and adjust themselves to finish their work, promote more interactions in studying between the two schools and achieve joint process. The activity came to a successful end. And through it, students had a clearer understanding of the responsibilities on their shoulders. The spirit of May Forth, patriotism, development, democracy, science had melted into everyone’s blood.
