June 3, 2020

The CCNUers who studied at home have encountered difficulties caused by the epidemic. In order to solve their pressing needs in household studying and personal development, under the leadership of Wang Tao, deputy secretary of the Party committee, many teachers have actively joined the posting service since March, including graduate counsellors Jiang Keming, Xiao Lixia, Mu Fan, postgraduate counsellor Ye Kongsen, headteacher Cheng Xiufeng, director of the School office Xu Lian. They went in batches to student dormitories, the service hall and offices to fetch, print or copy books, certificates, computers or other necessities in studying. More than one hundred graduates and postgraduates were benefited, and more than 60 dorms of a dozen buildings in CCNU main campus and Nanhu campus were involved.

They are patient pickup men. To accurately assemble the stuffs students needed, School of Information Management collected the details of their demands through Jinshuju online, including the delivery addresses and telephone numbers. On the scene, teachers were divided into groups of two members. One teacher was making a video call with the student and confirming whether there was the right place and whether this was the right number of the stuff; the other one was finding and fetching while taking photos for verification. The whole process was pleasant and students who received the sudden but tender call felt appreciated and expressed their thanks many times.

They are conscientious packers. After picking up what students needed in batches, due to large amounts and different varieties and to ensure the safety, teachers transported the stuffs to the office of student work of School of Information Management and made preliminary packaging. Then counsellors classified, verified, packaged and labeled in person, in the hope of avoiding loss, wrong delivery and damage. The counsellor Xiao Lixia jokingly said that, here was right the spot of logistics delivery.

They are cautious consignors. When finishing all the packages, delivery men were informed to pick up goods at the office. Teachers emphasized the sorting of books and computers, and which one can’t be pressed, which one need to be value-insured, which one students put emphasis on additional package…… Because of stuff’s large amounts, delivery men used carts to load on and transfer with the help of teachers. All things were down after two transfers. The entire process was cautious and careful. Things could be delivered to students finely and students needed to be informed to check the packages.

Students fed back to counsellors and conveyed their appreciation to school as soon as receiving the packages. Freshman Li Zhipeng said:” I hurried to filled in the form as soon as I saw the announcement. Whereas, I found the English book unreported when I regained consciousness. My counsellor patiently asked me to fill in another form. The next day, the counsellor offered to contact me on video, finding the tripod for me and throwing away the rotten apples by the way. Aha, I felt so touched and happy. When I received the package finally, it took a little longer time for me to untie it because it was wrapped with three protective layers! It had been raining these days in my hometown and I was worried if it might be wet. It turned out not at all! The teachers were truly attentive and careful. Thank CCNU and the School, and thank all the teachers!” A senior student who is to graduate, Xu Liang, said that, the epidemic was merciless while CCNU was considerate. Counsellors and teachers stood in the front of the epidemic, ensuring the safety of school while caring about students’ difficulties. They fetched the necessities in learning for us graduates and mailed these things to us. They built a love bridge from CCNU to the rest area of China. As a graduate, he felt warm in his heart, and held thanks and affectionate thoughts toward CCNU.
