A new journey unfolds in spring with warmth accompanying all the way. To gain an in-depth understanding of students' study and life after returning to campus, listen to their voices, check for potential safety hazards in dormitories, and convey the care and expectations of the school, on the morning of March 6, Lian Haijiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Psychology, Ding Yubin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Tian Yuan, Vice Dean, together with all counselors, visited the Nanhu student dormitories to bring care and guidance to the students.

During the visit, the school leaders and teachers had cordial conversations with the students. Secretary Lian Haijiang asked in detail about their adaptation back to campus, academic planning and other matters, learned about their needs and difficulties, and urged them to adjust their mindset, help each other, balance academic work with physical and mental health, and foster a positive dormitory atmosphere.

Deputy Secretary Ding Yubin focused on daily student management and safety assurance. He carefully inspected the dormitory hygiene, electricity safety and item arrangement, and patiently reminded students to strictly abide by the university’s dormitory management regulations, enhance safety awareness, put an end to irregular electricity use and unauthorized wiring, pay attention to personal and property safety, and develop good living habits.

Vice Dean Tian Yuan, combining disciplinary characteristics with students’ development needs, had in-depth exchanges with students on professional learning and research practice experience. She encouraged undergraduate students to consolidate their professional foundation, take the initiative in research training and social practice, and clarify their academic goals. She stated that the school would provide strong support for students’ study and research, helping them forge ahead steadily on their professional paths.

The students all expressed that the heartfelt care from the leaders and teachers made them feel warm and greatly encouraged. They would keep the earnest instructions in mind, adjust their personal state, strictly abide by all university regulations, devote themselves to study and life, live up to the school’s expectations and care, and strive to achieve new progress and growth in the new semester.

This dormitory visit is a concrete measure for the school to practice the concept of "three-wide education" and implement the mechanism for leading cadres to connect with students at the grassroots level. It has not only narrowed the distance between school leaders and teachers and students, and kept abreast of students’ ideological trends and practical needs in a timely manner, but also conveyed the school’s deep care and earnest expectations for students’ growth. The school will continue to focus on students’ growth needs, constantly improve education services, safeguard their healthy and all-round development, and help students embark on the new journey of the semester with high spirits.
