College News: The School of Education held a joint meeting on mental health work for the autumn semester of 2025

The Voice of CCNU On November 18th, the 2025 autumn semester joint meeting on mental health work of the Education College was held in Room 903 of Tianjibang Education College. Vice Director of the Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee, Wu Jiancheng, and Director of the Center for College Students' Mental Health Education, Wu Caizhi, attended the meeting. The Party Secretary of the College, Chen Xueling, the Party Deputy Secretary, Wang Lu, representatives of undergraduate class advisors and graduate supervisors, as well as all full-time and part-time counselors attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wang Lu.



In her speech, Chen Xueling expressed sincere gratitude to the School's Party Committee's Student Affairs Department and the Mental Health Education Center for their long-term guidance and support in the college's mental health work. She also paid high respect to the mentors, class advisors and counselors who have dedicated themselves to safeguarding students' healthy growth. She stated that the college has always focused on students' healthy growth as its core, and has established a proactive prevention system with pre-emptive guidance, a precise identification and intervention system with tiered measures, and a collaborative and coordinated support system for all staff to build a solid mental health defense line for students.



Shi Lei, the contact person for mental health work at the college, presented an overview of the college's mental health efforts, covering aspects such as the college's general situation and distinctive practices.


The research counselors successively introduced the key case situations and conducted in-depth discussions with the attending leaders and experts on the next assistance measures. Wu Caizhi and Wu Jiancheng respectively provided guiding suggestions on different aspects such as psychological counseling, medication treatment, and assistance for those in difficult situations. Teacher representative Liu Laibing shared his experiences and insights on doing a good job in student mental health education based on his personal experiences.



Wu Caizhi answered all the questions and concerns raised by the college in the early stage and provided guidance on the college's mental health work. He pointed out that it is necessary to continuously learn to improve the ability to identify crises, and at the same time, all staff should care about students' mental health throughout the process and in all aspects, integrate various resources, and enhance the educational synergy among the school, families, and society.



Wu Jiancheng delivered the closing speech. She highly praised the college's great emphasis on psychological work, its full commitment, and the achieved results. She also put forward three suggestions for the next steps: First, pay more attention to the graduate students and provide comprehensive protection for their mental health; second, enhance the awareness of the front line, improve the position of the workstations, and effectively solve students' practical problems to better help them grow healthily; third, strengthen the training of each team to build a comprehensive mental health work system.
