To accurately address the academic challenges faced by sophomores transitioning from the "adaptation period" to the "differentiation period", enhance the effectiveness of the class management, and strengthen the synergy of education work, the School of Foreign Languages, CCNU, held a workshop for sophomore class teachers in Conference Room 3402 at noon on November 5th. Wang Jia, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, all sophomore class teachers, and sophomores' counselors Qiu Ling and Xu Yuan attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Luo Jian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School.

Luo Jian conveyed the requirements for class teachers put forward at the school's student work training session for the new semester. He interpreted the newly revised Measures for the Management of Class Teachers in the School of Foreign Languages from different aspects such as strengthening the construction of class spirit and academic atmosphere, promoting professional education, deepening students' ideological education, conducting regular heart-to-heart talks, consolidating the line of defense for safety and stability, and solidifying daily class management. He hoped that class teachers would focus on academic improvement, deepen class management, and strengthen the collaboration and linkage between class teachers and counselors.
In the exchange session, class teachers and counselors conducted an in-depth discussion on the learning status and class characteristics of sophomores in each class, shared work experience and practical insights. Both sides emphasized the need to focus on students' ideological dynamics and strengthen the construction of class academic atmosphere, and put forward targeted constructive suggestions.
Wang Jia further emphasized two core work requirements: first, deepen the construction of curriculum ideology and politics - not only integrate value guidance into classroom teaching, but also strengthen positive guidance in daily communication after class to help students establish correct values and professional awareness; second, clarify the responsibilities of class teachers - respect students' independent growth space in daily work, take the initiative to intervene and face problems head-on at key junctures, and adhere to the "student-centered" principle.
At the end of the meeting, Luo Jian and Wang Jia awarded appointment letters to the class teachers, and the workshop for sophomore class teachers concluded successfully.

In the future, the school will further enrich the forms of meetings, hold class teachers' meetings by grade and theme this academic year, establish a long-term working mechanism, gather the synergy of collaborative education, and effectively improve the effectiveness of education work.
