He expressed his condolences and gratitude to the colleagues working on the front line of student affairs. The Party secretary pointed out that the counselor team is the "fourth force" of the university. They should play a role in ideological and political education throughout the entire academic stage, provide services in all fields of growth, and carry out all-round talent cultivation. They should shoulder the historical mission of "cultivating Party members and educating students". He hoped that everyone would fully understand the significance of this training and continuously enhance their skills, thinking, and sentiments in student affairs. The Party secretary also deployed the key tasks for the second half of the year. He emphasized: First, we should comprehensively strengthen the construction of counselors in the new era, issue relevant documents, and support and encourage counselors to develop towards professionalization and expertization; second, we should promote the construction of class advisors, and fully utilize their role as a bridge and link in ideological and political education and daily student affairs management; third, we should revise and improve the "Implementation Measures for the Evaluation of Graduate Academic Scholarships", making the evaluation of academic scholarships a powerful tool to promote the academic style construction, typical selection, and role model education of the graduate group.
