The Voice of CCNU On April 20th, the 37th "Class Tutor Afternoon Tea" activity of the Marxist Academy was successfully held in Room 214 of Building 1. This event invites national high-level talents, visiting scholars from Harvard University, professors and doctoral supervisors at the Ideological and Political Education Research Center of Northeast Normal University, Ren Zhifeng, Vice Dean of the School of Marxism Shao Yantao, Deputy Secretary of the School Youth League Committee (part-time), and Associate Professor Xue Hui of the School of Marxism to attend.

Firstly, Professor Shao Yantao welcomed the arrival of Professor Ren Zhifeng. Then, he introduced the overview of scientific and technological innovation work in the School of Marxism at Central China Normal University in recent years, and took this opportunity to hope that Professor Ren can provide help and guidance to his classmates.
Subsequently, five students, Luo Yuxuan, Yin Zhaoke, Song Tianqi, Lu Tong, and Tian Xiaoya, combined their own research and learning experiences, sought advice from teachers on how to highlight the advantages of cultural and historical students in science and technology innovation, how to link project selection with practice and major, how to focus on academic writing, and how to deal with conflicts between ideals and reality.

Regarding this, Teacher Ren, based on his own experience, stated that firstly, members with diverse professional backgrounds can be included in the project team to facilitate coordination and cooperation within the team, take their own paths, and help the project progress smoothly and achieve results; Secondly, it is necessary to clarify the core purpose of participating in science and technology innovation competitions, which is to enhance personal abilities, accumulate practical experience, broaden horizons, and take this opportunity to create deep connections with society. Only in this way can we effectively promote the integration of theoretical knowledge and social practice among students majoring in ideological and political education; Thirdly, based on theoretical analysis, make systematic assumptions, and then fully integrate interviews and questionnaires to achieve both quality and surface management; Fourthly, we should strive for the improvement of personal abilities and the accumulation of inner qualities. We should not only optimize self-directed learning strategies, but also draw wisdom from classic works to enrich our own cultural heritage.
In addition, Teacher Ren also mentioned the growth patterns of college students. Universities are divided into four stages: the first year is the adaptation period, which requires completing the transition from high school exam oriented education to university self-directed learning; The sophomore year is the awakening period, and one needs to start clarifying their own development path; The third year of college is a period of separation, each embarking on their chosen development path; The senior year is a period of pressure, so hold onto the pressure and move forward with all your might. Therefore, younger students do not need to overly worry about the future. Instead, they should focus on the present, be down-to-earth, and work hard.

Based on the questions from classmates, Teacher Xue also provided some suggestions. One is about selecting topics for science and technology innovation projects, which can refer to current hot topics, policies and guidelines, in order to meet the demands of the public and respond to the call of the times; Secondly, in cultural projects, attention should be paid to selecting points from multiple aspects, grasping the quantity to improve their reference, persuasiveness, and social influence; Thirdly, for young students, there are countless possibilities at present, and they should not be confined to a corner by so-called planning. They should boldly try, regard failure as a gift of life, maintain a proactive attitude, and embrace a hopeful and beautiful future.
Finally, summarized by Teacher Xue Hui, she once again sincerely expresses her gratitude to Teacher Ren Zhifeng and sends a message to her classmates: to be a conscientious person in learning and life, to read appropriately, to study carefully, to cherish the present, and to live up to the youth. The students also expressed their fruitful achievements and thanked the teacher for patiently resolving their doubts. At this point, the 37th session of the "Class Tutor Afternoon Tea" activity has come to a successful end!
