In order to implement the three-whole education, practice the education with temperature, help students establish a correct career outlook, employment outlook, and enhance professional identity, on January 28 at 7:00 PM, the 2024 online parent-teacher conference of the School of Life Sciences of Central China Normal University and the joint training project of the University of Dundee was successfully held.
This meeting was chaired by 2023 undergraduate counselor Ni Chenxin. Hong Feng, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Ruan Shao, a member of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Qiu Zhi, Director of the China Office of the University of Dundee, Yu Yan, Director of the International Research and Tourism Department of the Study Abroad Service Center of CCNU, Yu Yongqiang, Director of the Language Training Department, Qiu Baosheng, Dean of the School of Life Sciences, Yao Ke, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Life Sciences, all teachers of the Student affairs Office of the School, and all Biology of the School of Life Sciences Technical undergraduates and parents attended this conference.

The meeting began with a speech by Hong Feng, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange. Hong Feng briefly introduced the international cooperation and exchange program of the university. He said that international cooperation and exchange has become an important way to cultivate talents with global vision and cross-cultural communication ability. The School of Life Sciences has built a good bridge for students to participate in international cooperation and exchange programs and provided a lot of opportunities and resources. It hoped that students can cherish the opportunity, actively participate in activities and harvest the growth.

Qiu Zhi, Director of the China Office of the University of Dundee, introduced in detail the "2+2 Double Undergraduate, 4+1 Master Joint Training Program" and other cooperative programs of the University of Dundee and the School of Life Sciences of CCNU, explained the honorary ranking, faculty, scientific research strength, professional admission conditions, language requirements, and warmly welcomed students to participate in the cooperative school projects.

Yao Ke, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Life Sciences, introduced the relevant support policies of the college for students to participate in international cooperation projects, saying that the college will provide classified support and help according to the development direction of different students, and provide funding, language learning and other supports for students participating in international cooperation projects.
In order to support students to participate in international exchange and cooperative education programs, the College will jointly carry out targeted language training programs and 2024 mid-term and short-term research projects in cooperation with the Service Center of CCNU. Yu Yan, Director of the Service Center, and teacher Yu Yongqiang, respectively introduced the details of the projects.

Finally, Qiu Baosheng, Dean of the School of Life Sciences, made a concluding speech. Dean Qiu explained the development prospects of biotechnology for students and parents. He mentioned that biotechnology required an international perspective, and students should take academic improvement as their primary goal and plan their future career development. The College has always been committed to building a platform for students' growth and talent, and will form a joint education force through various forces such as home-school joint education and undergraduate tutorial system, so as to jointly help students grow and become talents. At this point, the online parent-teacher meeting and the joint training project of the University of Dundee in the UK came to a successful conclusion. It is reported that since 2022, after several rounds of online and offline talks, the University of Dundee and our University have reached a consensus on cooperation in life sciences and other fields and signed a cooperation agreement on the 2+2 joint training project for biotechnology undergraduates, laying a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation.
