The Voice of CCNU. On the evening of December 1st, the "Love for China, Aim for High" Reading books and understandingChina activity was held in the "Xinyue Space" of the "one-stop" community comprehensive service center of the 18th student dormitory in the East District. Jin Xinli, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Physical Science and Technology, led the reading of“The Ordinary World”. Wu Jiancheng, Deputy Director of the Office of Student Affairs of the Party Committee, Alishat, a teacher of the Office of Student Affairs of the Party Committee, Wang Di, the counselor of the College of Physical Science and Technology, and more than 20 students from various colleges participated in the activity, hosted by Kadiya Niyazi, Deputy Director of the "Gezhi" learning Development Center of the College of Physical Science and Technology. This activity was one of the patriotic education brand activities of Central China Normal University sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs of the Party Committee and undertaken by the College of Physical Science and Technology.
At the beginning of the activity, Jin Xinli expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to cooperate with the Office of Student Affairs to establish a platform for reading and communicating with students. He talked about his understanding and cognition of thinking patterns, and shared his perception and experience of reading books. "Reading books can enrich our lives," he said, pointing out that reading different books is a way to communicate with different groups.
After that, Jin Xinli led the students to review“The Ordinary World” from the main content, the author's life, the creation background and other aspects. The students who participated in the activity communicated and interacted actively, sharing the story plots and character endings that impressed them the most, as well as the harvest and sentiment they gained from reading. For the question of "summarizing this work in one word", the students at the scene unanimously chose "struggle". Whether it is studying or going out into the world, making every choice in life requires courage and the spirit of struggle. Recalling the tenacity of the hero in the book who fights against the fate and strives for the ideal, the students felt a lot. The exchange atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant.
Jin Xinli also talked about his own mental journey when reading the book. "This book is an epic story about the struggles of ordinary people," and it is well worth reading both in terms of storyline and characterization. “The Ordinary World” shows the changes of the country and society to a certain extent through the description of the changes of people's lifestyle. The different life endings of the protagonists in the book also trigger the readers' thinking about life choices. At the same time, through the experience of the protagonist Sun Shaoping, Jin Xinli encouraged the students to strive for their ideals, improve themselves in reading and learning, and actively find the motivation for progress. In the course of the exchange, Jin Xinli shared wonderful book excerpts and recommended TV dramas adapted from realistic works, encouraging students to cultivate patriotic feelings and integrate personal development into national construction.
This activity deepened the students' understanding of the work "The Ordinary World", and also allowed the students to increase their wisdom and improve their taste in the communication, and further feel the charm of reading. The students at the scene said that they all have benefited a lot.
