In order to enhance the employment competitiveness of undergraduate students, help foreign language graduates find the right direction of employment and make clear their life plans, the school of foreign languages held a forum and a special recruitment fair for alumni and famous enterprises in classroom 3504 on March 19. Chen Wu, vice President of Guangdong Lianbai Technology Group; Hou Jiaojiao, marketing director of Overseas Marketing Department of Guangdong Lianbai Technology Group and 2001 grade fellow of Russian Department of our School; Li Mengxin, director of Enrollment Office of CCNU and 2001 grade fellow of Russian Department of our School; Li Yun, Secretary of Party committee of our School; Yang Lingzhen, deputy Secretary of Party committee; Pan Shuguang, deputy director of Russian Department and 2017 grade head teacher of Russian Department; Zhou Lijiang, 2020 grade head teacher of Russian Department, and 2017 and 2018 students majoring in small languages attended the recruitment fair. This lecture was presided over by counselor Pan Yingzi.
First of all, Yang Lingzhen expressed her sincere thanks for the arrival of the students, and also placed three expectations on the students in her speech. First of all, she hoped that the students can look upon the goal setting with a dynamic perspective, and at the same time prepare alternative plans. Second, she encouraged the students to take positive actions to deal with job hunting. Finally, she hoped that the students can look upon their career with a long-term perspective.
Later, Li Mengxin expressed both her gratitude to her Alma Mater and her expectations for younger students in her speech. At the same time, she also said that as a teacher of career planning course, she can clearly feel the students' anxiety and confusion. In view of this general psychological state of college students, she hoped that students can face it with a correct attitude, and also hoped that everyone can expand their horizons, not only limited to the school, but also to find themselves in a big environment, and finally get growth.
Later, Chen Wu, vice President of Guangdong Lianbai Technology Group, shared his entrepreneurial experience and encouraged everyone to change their mind, start their own businesses and open up their own a new road. Later, he introduced Lianbai Group in detail from three aspects: group introduction, technology research and development, and brand building. He also introduced the entrepreneurship platform provided by Lianbai Group for the fresh graduates, and also expressed that Lianbai Group would welcome talents from various professional fields.
Then, Hou Jiaojiao shared her experience in job hunting and entrepreneurship. From attracted by the positive and energetic working atmosphere of the first company at the beginning, determining to stay in Guangdong and engaging in marketing work which was quite different from her personality, to the timidity and embarrassment of entering the workplace for the first time, to the calm of friends all over the world now, combining with the experience of the journey, she also put forward four suggestions and experiences. The first point was to take the initiative to learn at any time. The second point was to face up to your own mood and keep an optimistic attitude. The third point was to introduce the work content of overseas marketing in detail, including how to communicate with customers from different countries, how to set up markets in different places, as well as the cooperation between sales and product development and so on. Finally, taking her resignation and entrepreneurship as an example, she encouraged everyone not to worry too much about "sunk costs", but to challenge the areas of interest. There may be no way ahead temporarily, but in the process of exploring step by step, a broad road will be formed.
Finally, Pan Shuguang made a concluding speech. First of all, he expressed his gratitude to the alumni forum for providing an exchange platform for the former and the latter generations, and encouraged the students to have self-confidence. Although small language is described as "small", it has a broad stage in today's social development situation, and reminded students not to indulge in the comfort zone, to go out bravely and explore more possibilities. In the next on-site interaction, the students asked questions actively, and the scene atmosphere was active.
This forum focused on the employment confusion of foreign language students, invited the professionals to teach by precept and example and disambiguate, and provide broader employment ideas. After the event, students expressed they have reaped no little benefit, and was more confident and enthusiastic to face the next employment problem.
